What ytmp3 is

ytmp3 is a free web tool that turns YouTube links into MP3 audio or MP4 video files. It runs in your browser, on any phone, tablet or computer, and it was built to do one job well: give you the file you asked for, with clear choices and no detours.

How it works

• Copy a YouTube link.
• Paste it into the bar on the ytmp3 home page.
• Pick MP3 or MP4, choose a quality and tap Download.

The page never sends you somewhere else. The formats appear right where you pasted the link, and your file opens in a new tab, so this page stays open.

Formats and qualities

MP3 comes in five options, from 320 down to 64 kbps. MP4 comes in every resolution the video offers between 144p and 1080p. Each option shows its real file size before you save, so you always know what you will get.

Honest limits

We would rather tell you what ytmp3 can't do than surprise you. Video goes up to 1080p. Only public videos work: private, members-only and region-blocked videos can't be opened, and live streams have to end first. A playlist link saves only the video it points to. Browsers often play the file in the new tab, so you may need the browser menu to save it.

Made for phones

Most people use ytmp3 on a phone, so every screen is designed for small displays first. The bar is easy to reach, the buttons are big enough for thumbs, and the format sheet slides up from the bottom so you never lose your place.
